This 18th-century Maison de
Maitre is surrounded by 5
hectares of grounds and
gardens and,
beyond that, there are
magnificent views and walks
over rolling farmland.
The house has been
refurbished to a high
standard and filled with French country
furniture. The
dining room is spacious and
is the ideal place for
entertaining, while a shaded,
vine-covered 'auvent' and
the south-facing terrace are
the two outside dining areas.
The
cook/housekeeper is local
and her services, 6 days a
week, are included in the
rental. Preparation of
light or full
meals with local produce
are of a very high standard
and always attract
compliments. The house and pool
are cleaned daily.
The master bedroom, with its
own bathroom, is
beautifully furnished to
create a wonderful, relaxing
atmosphere and has doors
onto the terrace. The house is suitable for 10
adults and 4 children
(sleeping in 2, low-ceiling
attic rooms). Alternatively
it can accommodate 10 adults
with 8 in the main house and
2 in a studio flat (Dependance)next
door.
You will enjoy
peace, calm and tranquillity
while you sit around the
pool, with a pool house for
shade. However, for the
energetic, the hard tennis
court or mountain bikes are ready for your
exclusive use.
The housekeeper lives out
but is always on hand should
you require assistance.
There is also a resident 'Gardien',
who lives in a flat across
the courtyard.
